Upwork is a marketplace connecting businesses with freelancers and independent professionals. My team in Payments–– Work Management––had a north star goal: increase the acceptance rate of job offers freelancers receive from clients.

To help freelancers make faster, more informed decisions, I designed a new way for freelancers and agency managers to access, review, and respond to their offers directly.

This launched as a two-cell quantitative test. We saw clear improvements in the mobile experience, and nuanced behavioral insights which helped refine our assumptions and shape the broader product strategy—reinforcing the value of integrating offer details and messaging together.
